Grocery / Reward Cards

Our School is lucky to have a volunteer Grocery Card Fundraising Chair, Karen Bograd. Karen helps coordinate the school links to local stores in order to help raise funds. Here are some easy ways to help the school raise money. Remember, every little bit counts!

  • Harris Teeter VIC Card - Linking your VIC card to your school is easy. 1) Simply give the cashier your VIC card and the school's Together In Education number (#6907) during checkout. OR 2) Go to www.harristeeter.com, click on the “Community” tab, then enter your information and click “Submit Information” That is it! This one time sign up process must take place each school year.
  • Kroger Rewards Card - When you go to Kroger, you ask the cashier to scan the barcode and your rewards card, and then every time you shop, scan your Rewards card, and the school receives points to buy neat cool thinks for the school. Some items in the past include a microscope, outside play equipment, and a typing tutor program.
  • Target Take Charge of Education - If you have a RED credit card (target credit card) you can link to "Jewish Academy of Wake County," and every time you charge using your RED card, then money is donated to the school. Last school year, only 3 cards were linked to our school and the school received $726!!!

If you have any questions about these fundraisers for the school, please contact Karen at karenbograd@yahoo.com. And thank you for your participation!

Pop Tops & Box Tops

  • Our school will be continuing with the mitzvah projects of collecting “pop” tops or soda tops for the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House is a special organization that helps sich children and their familes. Our school is privileged to take part it such special work. Please save pop tops and bring them onto school. The collection box is in the classroom on top of the children’s cubbies. - After the tabs are collected, the local RMHC Chapter brings the collection to local recycling centers, where they are weighed to determine their value (values can vary significantly). The recycling center then sends the local RMHC Chapter a check for the total value. Each tab is worth
  • We are still collecting Box Tops for Education this year. Please save and collect as many as you can, and encourage your friends and family to do the same. Remember, every box tops is equal to $0.10 for the school. Last year we collected $76. This year , we would like to reach the goal of $100. Thank you for your participation in these special mitzvot!
