The Jewish Academy of Wake County is committed to serving the educational needs of the entire Jewish community. To this end, we focus on the timeless values that Judaism emphasizes.
Our priorities include:
· Academic Excellence
We expect our students to meet and exceed the North Carolina public school curriculum standards. We use small class size, individual attention, and dedicated teachers to provide a first rate educational experience. The environment our teachers create motivates each child to become a life long learner. Our persistence in tailoring our curriculum to meet individual learning styles maximizes the chance for success. View our children learning.
· Active Nurturing
The care and focus provided to each student creates a warm environment, where children are motivated to succeed. Active nurturing also includes family. Respect for each family’s level of observance and lifestyle creates a faculty-parent partnership. This partnership supports each student’s cognitive, social, and emotional development.
· Jewish Life Skills
The Judaic curriculum develops children who are proud of their Jewish identity and love being Jewish. Our curriculum stresses the ideas and values that all Jews have in common, including an understanding of holidays, customs, and our shared heritage. We expose students to rich and deep study of Jewish texts and reinforce the love of being Jewish through joyful and meaningful experiences. We teach students modern Hebrew to help form a lasting connection with the people of Israel and with Israeli culture.
